  1. Welcome to issue 3 of the Libris Britannia CD ROM.

  3. This CD contains the bulk of the PDSL library up to disk numbers
  4. 3972, H388 and the UK C user volumes to C102.
  5.  
  6. Obviously with each new issue certain material has to be dropped
  7. which was on earlier issues, in this respect earlier issues are
  8. supplemented rather than replaced by later issues.
  9.  
  10. In choosing material to drop we have in general left off material
  11. added or updated earlier than 1991. Other items left off include
  12. the Tex DTP system, some book and text files and technical journal
  13. disks. These will be made available on our Biblio-Tek CD ROM.

  15. Since issue 2 the size of program has been on the increase this
  16. has had the effect of reducing the overall number of files but
  17. increasing the number of major programs.
  18.  
  19. This issue uses PKZIP version 2 compression which has allowed around
  20. 15% more material to be fitted on this disk. Note however that earlier
  21. versions of PKUNZIP will not work for unpacking.
